This SDL White Paper looks into how the multilingual dimension of product information management can be severely underestimated by the emerging initiatives. It outlines recommendations for implementing a Global Information Management (GIM) platform to support PIM: beginning with global XML. This is the vision to store information in an XML language–and then replicate it in multiple languages across multiple channels of communication.
