The Future of Automated Translation
In December 2009, SDL conducted the Automated Translation Survey with the Association for Machine Translation in the Americas (AMTA) and the European Association for Machine Translation (EAMT). The objective of the survey was to identify trends in automated translation in today’s global business.
This was the second time the survey was conducted, enabling comparison with the 2008 survey, to produce year on year trends.
The 2009 survey results expand on the previous years in three ways:
1. Adoption rates of automated translation with human post-editing
2. Regional variations in responses across North America, Europe and Asia
3. Variations by vertical industry
