4S1000D Workshops

SDL offers S1000D 'hands-on' workshops for any organization that is considering or preparing for an S1000D implementation.

This unique workshop offering provides an opportunity to use the features and functions of the SDL Contenta S1000D solution, complete with sample data, to demonstrate the basics of S1000D authoring, management and publication.

Workshop objectives:

  • Gain a high level understanding of the specification
  • Experience the project planning process
  • Create S1000D content
  • Manage content in a CSDB
  • Publish an interactive electronic technical manual (IETM)
  • Lay foundation for business case

4S1000D Specification Educational Series

Do you and your team need S1000D training? Do you need to prepare to implement an S1000D capability?

 

The following courses are offered by SDL at a fee. They are not product-specific courses and are valuable to anyone who needs to learn to implement an S1000D project. We offer the courses on-site at your facilities or at our corporate offices in Wakefield, MA. If you are interested in any of these courses, please identify which course you are interested in, the number of people you desire to participate, whether you prefer an on-site course or are willing to participate in an event at SDL corporate offices. SDL Contenta S1000D

SDL Contenta S1000D is a Commercial Off The Shelf (COTS) Common Source Data Base (CSDB) that supports content authored to the S1000D specification.  Based on the Contenta S1000D content management system, it provides the automation and efficiency needed to deliver S1000D content reliably, repeatedly and effectively to your customers, partners and suppliers. It is used by authors, editors and program and publication managers for the creation, management and delivery of technical information.

SDL LiveContent for S1000D

SDL LiveContent™ for S1000D is an interactive technical publication delivery product which dynamically renders structured content (XML) for end users. With rich-media support and intelligent navigation, SDL LiveContent moves beyond traditional IETMs by supporting S1000D issues 2.1 through 4.0.1 and enabling the publishing of mixed issues of S1000D within the same deliverable. Applicability filtering is supported on demand and all product attributes and conditions are available to a user for real time viewing.
