Welcome to the SDL Trados Technologies Support request page

It is our mission to provide all our customers with excellent customer service and support. As a customer with a current Support Agreement you may get assistance using our support portal. If you do not have a current Support Agreement then you will still be able to find resources here that you can use to help yourself.

Accessing the Support Portal

We provide two places for our customer to log into the Support Portal. If you are an existing Enterprise Customer and have not been provided with a login for our “My Account” area then please login here.

If you have been a long standing Desktop Product user or an Enterprise customer who has been moved over to the “My Account” area then you can log in here.

Both portals link to the same Support tools that we use to support you but the new “My Account” centre provides you with a starting point to access many other features from the same place.

The new “My Account” area can be accessed directly once you have saved the link in your browser, or by going to the "My Account" link at the top right hand corner of all the SDL websites such as www.sdl.com and www.translationzone.com and the login page will look like this.

Once you are there the website itself is divided up into various sections.

  • “My Support” – where you can view the high level details of your current Support and Maintenance agreement, access the knowledgebase and the support centre to log a case.

  • “My Orders” – where you can view existing orders and associated invoices, and where you can pay any outstanding orders,

  • “My Licenses” – where you can view your activation codes, generate and download license files and return and upgrade licenses,

  • “My Downloads” – where you can download your purchased products and obtain the latest updates and patches, “My Quotes” – where you can get a quote for new product and view your quotation history, and

Ideas.sdltrados.com

Ideas.sdltrados.com is a forum where SDL TRADOS Technologies customers can suggest new functionality and features they would like to see in SDL TRADOS software.

Customers will also be able to see the product suggestions that have been made by other users and promote their favourite enhancements.

Ideas.sdltrados.com is designed to foster an environment of collaboration where customers can interact with SDL and other users.

This can be found in the “My Account” area under the “My Support section” or by going directly to http://talisma.sdl.com

In here you will find many features designed to help you find solutions and keep up to date with the latest developments in SDL Technology.

  • Knowledgebase search,

  • Solution Finder – a step by step guide through common issues

  • Article subscription

  • Publication of all Hotfixes, patches etc. These are cumulative where appropriate so subscribing to these articles means you will always be kept informed of the latest changes

Documentation, Online Help

After having installed the software you can find a lot of useful documentation in PDF format to help you get up and running as well as answer many of the questions you may have as you become more familiar with the capability of your software. This is available from the Windows’ Start menu, for example.

3rd party user forums

We have provided you with a number of resources to help you get up and running; the Knowledge Base, certification training, and the online support centre. There are also several online resources maintained by experienced users of the software. In these independent forums or mailing lists you can share your experiences and discuss best practice in using the software efficiently. SDL is not responsible for the content of these forums or mailing lists. They are independent of SDL, and the inclusion of links to them is not an endorsement of them or of their owners by SDL. They are independent and operate through the goodwill of the user community.
